1972: Commenced operations as a wholesale producer of French bread
for daily delivery to the Washington, DC area. In fiscal year 1979, known as Vie
de France Corporation, began offering its products through Company-owned retail
bakeries where the products could be feshly baked throughout the day. (The Bakery
Division and the Restaurant Division were later sold to Vie de France Bakery Yamazaki,
Inc. in 1991 and 1994, respectively.)
1987: Began development of the Culinary Division of the Company for the
express purpose of the research into and development of high quality frozen products
for the U.S. Market.
1989: Cuisine Solutions opened its doors in the United States,
offering a broad selection of pre-prepared foods of superb
taste and outstanding quality to US and international markets.
The company plant is located
in Alexandria, Virginia, just minutes from the nation's
capital.
1994: Cuisine Solutions constructed a plant in Norway, amid
the aqua-farming region where prized salmon and other delicious
fish are raised.
Because our strategy is to constantly strive for the highest
quality, we began by using only the finest raw materials
harvested directly at
the source. The plant was named "Best Factory of the Year" in 1996.
1999: Cuisine Solutions acquired a production facility in Normandy,
one of France's most respected seats of gastronomy.
2000: Cuisine Solutions established its presence in North America
and Europe and began to gain a worldwide reputation for
prepared foods at the very highest level.
2002: Cuisine Solutions introduced FiveLeaf, an extraordinary
collection of prepared entrees and appetizers created by
seven of the world's most honored chefs on two continents.
2004: Cuisine Solutions discontinued production in at our Norway facility. Cuisine Solutions entered the South American market with a 10% minority interest in a new fish and seafood facility, located near the pristine waters of Puerto Montt, Chile.
2005: In February, Cuisine Solutions relists on the American Stock Exchange with the Ticker Symbol: FZN.
